Where are my saved indexes stored?
Dexxer stores its saved index data locally on your Mac. The exact system location can vary depending on which Dexxer edition you use and how macOS manages that application.
Dexxer does not upload your saved indexes to a Dexxer cloud service.
What happens if a scan stops or fails?
Reconnect the source if necessary and run the scan again.
Dexxer reads file and folder information while creating an index—it does not modify or delete the original files on the source.
Can I still search a saved scan after the drive is unplugged?
Yes. Once a scan is completed, its saved index remains searchable even when the original source is disconnected.
To open or reveal the actual file, reconnect the original source.
My files changed, but the saved scan still shows the old information.
Dexxer does not monitor drives or folders in the background.
If files have been added, removed, moved, or renamed, reconnect the source and run a new scan to refresh its saved index.

I upgraded to Dexxer Pro but don’t see Pro features.
Dexxer Pro licensing applies to the direct-download edition.
Enter your Dexxer Pro license key in the app’s License settings. If the Pro features do not appear afterward, quit and reopen Dexxer.
I purchased Dexxer Pro but didn’t receive my license key.
Dexxer Pro purchases made through the Dexxer website are fulfilled through LemonSqueezy.
• Check your spam or promotions folder
• Search your inbox for “Dexxer” or “LemonSqueezy”

Can I use Dexxer Pro on multiple Macs?
Yes. A direct-download Dexxer Pro license can be activated on up to three Macs personally used by the license holder.

Does the Mac App Store edition need a Dexxer Pro license key?
No.
Dexxer – External Drive Search purchased through the Mac App Store is a separate edition and does not use LemonSqueezy or a Dexxer Pro license key.
Purchases, downloads, and updates for that edition are handled through the Mac App Store.
