Need help? You’re in the right place. Dexxer was designed to be simple and offline, but if something isn’t working the way you expect, we’re here to help.

  • Where are my index files stored?

    • Dexxer stores indexes locally at: ~/Library/Application Support/Dexxer/
      — no files are uploaded or synced to the cloud.

    I upgraded to Pro but don’t see Pro features.

    • Enter your license key under Settings → License, then restart Dexxer.

    Can I use Dexxer Pro on multiple Macs?

    • Yes — a Dexxer Pro license can be activated on up to 3 Macs you personally use.

    What happens if a scan fails or stops mid-way?

    • Simply re-plug the drive and start the scan again — Dexxer won’t harm your files.

  • Before reaching out, you can check our FAQ at the bottom of the homepage:

    • Does Dexxer work offline? (Yes.)

    • Can I search unplugged drives? (Yes.)

    • Does Dexxer upload my files? (Absolutely not.)

    • Can I use my license on multiple Macs? (Yes—if you’re the user.)

    • License is for one person and works on up to 3 Macs you personally use.

  • If you purchased Dexxer Pro through LemonSqueezy:

    • Check your spam or promotions folder

    • Search your inbox for “LemonSqueezy” or “Dexxer”

    • Still nothing? Reply with your order info and we’ll resend immediately.

  • When reporting an issue, please include:

    • macOS version

    • Dexxer version (from Help → About)

    • A brief description of what happened

    • Screenshots if available
