Dexxer is built with a simple philosophy: your files stay on your Mac — always. We don’t collect, store, upload, or analyze your data. Period. This Privacy Policy explains what information we do collect (very little), and how it’s used.

Mac App Store Version Note:

The Mac App Store version of Dexxer does not use LemonSqueezy, license keys, external purchases, account sign-ins, cloud sync, or in-app analytics. It creates local saved indexes on the user’s Mac from folders or drives the user chooses.

1. Information We Do NOT Collect

Dexxer does not collect or transmit:

  • Your files

  • File metadata

  • Drive contents

  • Search queries

  • Index data

  • Personal documents

  • Cloud backups

  • Analytics from inside the app

Everything Dexxer indexes stays 100% offline on your Mac.

2. Information We Collect (Website)

When you visit our website, we may collect basic, non-identifying server logs:

  • Browser type

  • Operating system

  • Referral source

  • General usage metrics

This is aggregated and cannot identify you.
We do not use tracking cookies or advertising pixels.

3. Purchases Through LemonSqueezy (Direct Website Version Only)

Dexxer Pro purchases are securely processed by LemonSqueezy.

LemonSqueezy may collect:

  • Name

  • Email

  • Payment details

  • Billing information

  • Country/region (for tax requirements)

Dexxer does not receive or store your payment information.
We receive only:

  • Your email

  • Your license key

  • Your product activation status

This is required to activate Dexxer Pro.

4. Emails

If you purchase Dexxer Pro, we may email you:

  • Your license key

  • Update notices

  • Important product information

No marketing blasts. No spam.

5. Data Storage

Dexxer stores indexes locally at:

~/Library/Application Support/Dexxer/indexes

We cannot access or view this data.
